Of course the Roman Law "Murphus Maximus" always kicks in for me as I am always 100% of time in the bunch who do not get the new feature.

I cannot see for the life of me why they do not roll this out to all Insiders.

It makes no sense to flipping withhold it from 50% of Insiders. They just get half the potential feedback.

It is obviously a sensible and useful option - who the hell is going to feedback and say feature should be dropped.

My theory is people who make such a ridiculous 50% decisions are HALF wits.

I decided to install 18272 as dual boot on my 1809 laptop. I installed it fine, and I noticed there was no winre recovery partition created, even though plenty of space was allowed. The old winre was untouched.

Ordinarily, I would not care except the new version of Macrium Reflect Free uses that partition when creating bootable image. I created an image from Macrium Reflect and it seem to pick up the 1809 winre and does not boot.

I did a straight upgrade of 1809 instead (having done a full backup), and a new winre was recreated (and old one untouched), and a Macrium boot image created this time worked fine.

There just does not seem to be any consistent logic on winre.wim creation. It seems to me there should be a matching winre per windows installation.

Did you use the official 18272 ISO released by Microsoft, or a self made UUP Dump ISO?

50% are the control group. Any new feature has change 'noise' in feedback (some people will only vote for no change). If people who don't have the feature ask for it then that's better feedback than from those who are reluctant to feedback because they like a feature.

So maybe you get a truer picture of people desiring the new feature. Or, being cynical, it halves any negative feedback
