Will someone please clarify on this point--everytime we check for updates for a new build we have to contend with Definition Update for Windows Defender Antivirus--KB2267602 (Definition 1.279.922.0).Unless you download & install this definition the system will not allow you to proceed. Why doesn't Microsoft allow us to download and install this definition once for all and save us from this headache.

The way I do it is when I hear about new build I check for WD updates thru WD itself first. If you have latest WD update than it doesn't show in WU.

This is interesting - I did a clean install without connecting to internet, creating a local account, and Cortana was disabled - only Search enabled (as I like it).

I wonder if the installer actually pays attention to question about if you want Cortana as your assistant now. Previously, I could never see what that question actually did!

I guess i will have to test it to find out.

Also, I note an option to further personalise the start list.

Re. Snip&Sketch - after I updated all apps from Store, it showed the multiple save function - good change.

    Hi folks

I see on UUPDUMP that this edition is due to expire today

Not sure if this means anything but could we be in for new builds very shortly -- I.E tomorrow (Tuesday - Ms seems to like tuesdays).

    Cheers

    Hi there
    Thanks

Can't wrap my head about that logic though YYYYMMDD or DDMMYYYY makes perfect sense, easy sort sequence etc -- the other US system just confuses me --If I travel to those places I always write date now in words to avoid confusion.

    Cheers

Nope! Cortana is still enabled. Something is screwy - it shows the search icons and search in context menu. You still have to disable the Cortana part in gpedit/regedit.

Is this a new design to show Cortana is part of Search, not the other way round - I guess that makes sense?

I cannot detect any difference in answering yes or no to Cortana during a clean install!
