Well it finally installed. Took 80min to restart then 9min to desktop.

Weirdly, the screen res was very low and there were multiple distorted 'ASUS's across the top!

A re-power fixed the screen issue - whew!

Wouldn't it be nice if we were told why the update process is so weird now? We might be Insiders but we are still Outsiders when it comes to being informed. Sort of feel as if our intelligence is being insulted.

However, the good news is I can now 'Save As' to my NAS so not all bad!

Dumb question..... MS Blog has no mention of Skippy. Shawn has Skippy in his announcement. Yes? No?

Skippy has merged with fast, but it's nice to keep to alive for a while. On the other side, some apps are still referred to as Skippy

I know all that, Andre, thanks. I've been running both since they had both. My question was....Shawn says Skippy, MS does not. Is it available for Skippy or not? I can go boot to it to find out, but I'd rather not.

Skippy and Fast merged couple of builds ago, just before Rs5 disaster.
Anyway, just as I thought, standard update didn't work so I installed it from home made ISO. There's warning about that

Some users will notice the update status cycling between Getting Things Ready, Downloading, and Installing. This is often accompanied with error 0x8024200d caused by a failed express package download.

And a thing @Kari complained about:
The hyperlink colors need to be refined in Dark Mode in Sticky Notes if the Insights are enabled.

Otherwise everything seems to be running alright, did all checks and cleanups, doing backup now. Speaking of backups, problem with mounting .mrimg is still there but "medicine" for that works too.

    I'm not making myself clear.

    I know they have merged.

My question concerns Shawn's page #1 announcement versus the MS Blog. They appear to be conflicting. I just want find out if this build, 18272, is available for the Skip Ahead or not.

I just include "Skip Ahead" even though Fast and Skippy has merged for now since my "Windows Insider Program" settings still show as "Skip Ahead".

I do this to help avoid confusion.
