Took the plunge, and all is well after updating to 17134.376. I done a couple reboots, MS did a good job on this one.

I had an odd thing with this one. I had deferred Feature Updates for 30 days, so 1809 wouldn't sneak in on me. Apparently, it also blocked this KB. Soon as I set the 30 back to 0, it was offered and updated.

Just a notice if you have deferred 1809 Feature Update.

    Attachment 209850
    That's funny.

I had to do the same before reading this post. It's really a quality update, not a feature update.

So far it's been stable for a few hours, but the logic of MS is off.
Again, this should have been offered prior to 1809.

Every time I use Windows Media Player now, when closed it throws a critical error that shows up in the Reliability Monitor. I use it regularly, actually a couple of hours before this update and this has never happened before. WMP works perfectly fine but when closed it just throws another critical error (APPCRASH) in the Reliability Monitor.

Anybody else notice this? Just another CU bug?

But not every one, I don't see it on any of any 1809 machines.

Thanks for the reply flhthemi, I wont bother trying to fix it now that I know others are experiencing this.

Bree, we're talking about the latest CU for 1803, not 1809.

Phew... seems I will stick into my current CU until they fix file associations. I don't want my stuff messed up... XD
Let's hope they fix that in the next CU (Hopping there is not a shady move to enforce windows apps on people...)

This issue has been ongoing for months. If you defer feature updates then many users don't receive these interim updates but do get the Patch Tuesday updates. I don't know if this is by error or design by MS.

    Ooops, my bad

My 1803 machine with 17134.345 has no problems with WMP. I have just updated it to KB4462933.
WMP still doesn't report any errors in Reliability Monitor, even after several restarts.

1 mouth ago I installed 1809 October 2018 update and I had a problem wifi Wifi. Then I restore toi previuos version and all was ok. Now with this update of 1803 I have the same problem: Wifi connection stay connected, and after seconds appears yellow warning, and non connection is available.

Have you got the same problem?
    YES!

One of my old test PCs was on 17134.345, installed KB4462933 taking it to 17134.376.

Got the exact problem as you described - WiFi would work for a while, (anything from 5 to 20 minutes) then I'd have no network access, (browsers or Ping) despite hovering over the system tray WiFi icon and it saying "Internet access"

Then after a few seconds, yellow warning, and no connection.

I'm using a cheap, but good external WiFi dongle on this PC and the problem could be temporarily fixed by ejecting the dongle and reinserting it - then it happened again. Cycle may be repeated at will.

Looked for updated drivers for the dongle - none found. Several power down and restart cycles - to no avail.

Uninstalled KB4462933 so now back to 17134.345 and all is OK
