    Took 4hrs plus but no failures.

    Deleted all new deletable apps, rather odd that Snip & Sketch is included as thier still promoting it.

    after 3 attempt to install and it kept downloading i deleted the download section in software distribution and ran update again.
    now installed and so far things are working

    If it fails the first time I update from ISO, that never failed me.

    The thing is, this was in a Hyper-V VM.
    When it's my host(the actual PC) and this occurs, I just hard crash the system, with the reset button, and let it restart, and 99% the time, the update finishes
    Exactly what most "experts" will say you shouldn't do.

    I'm guessing it clears the RAM of whatever background crap is keeping the update from finishing, and/or FilesPendingRename get done.

    "Funny thing". I've had previous updates that failed and had to recover from a Macrium image, but this one went OK for me.
    I guess Murphy's Law.
