I only hope they will not try to fix everything before rereleasing it, because in that case it will never happen
I have had zero problems with any of 1809 builds. They have to release it soon. It is stable.

    Hi folks

UUPDUMP serves up wrong windows versions on this build -- it gives the "paused version" from what I can see.

which yields this version on install

More crap. So, I use One Drive to sync desktop files (files on the Desktop). Machine went into battery save mode and I could no longer delete files from the desktop or drag to the bin. Is this normal?

One Drive sync was suspended due to battery save. I enabled sync and could then drag to bin or delete. Seems an odd file-locking semantic, One Drive whilst paused should respect my wishes then sync after I come off battery save?

It automatically updates updates to .55.

Install it without internet connected, and it will install just .1.

I have seen reports than non Insiders on 1809 are getting updated to .55.

EDIT - just tested it using 1809 NOT on Insider, and it updates to .55 as I had heard.

So UUPDUMP looks fine. It is possible the uupdump files have slipstreamed in change to 1809 to get to .55.

Only way to tell is to install the iso without internet connected and check version.

Anyway using uupdump for 1809 is not really best option as you can download 1809 directly from Slow Ring anyway - much faster.

    Won't work.
    Hi there

    @slicendice

You can test a Linux VM with a USB-->Bluetooth in VMware without having to rely on the Windows Blue tooth driver if you wish to test whether the hardware has problems due to the windows system or not.

Just disconnect the windows one (in the vm config) and attach the blue tooth usb adapter now to the machine with the VM having the focus. The VM should pick it up where you can say connect.

WKS 15 seems pretty good - efficient and I haven't been able to break anything yet -- it still runs old XM VM's with things like Minidisc recorder hardware / software working perfectly -- anybody remember those things !!!!!

    Cheers

Yeah, I know! That is if you have VMWare installed. I'm dependent on Hyper-V at the moment and none of that work properly there. Either I crash the VM or the whole host, if I try to fiddle too much beyond defaults using my current hardware.

VMWare is far more superior in this regard.

You can have both vmware and hyper-v installed at same time but you cannot run both same time. You can create a dual boot entry which allows you to boot with the hyper-v hypervisor running to run hyper-v or to boot without it running to run type two hypervisors like vmware.

I shall write a simple tutorial when I get a moment.
