Since it's in the Release Preview Ring, does this mean that this would be the last CU until the 1809 update gets public?
Not necessarily as there was a CU for the Release Preview Ring earlier this month which took it to build .104.

Either that or in October 2019 after 19H1's release to respect its title.

From bad to worse. The downloads folder is now SELECTED for disk cleanup (system files). Since when did this happen? Since the dawn of Windows time the Downloads folder was a USER folder.

Downloads folder is not selected for disk cleanup on 17763.107 (with or without System files). I think you're confusing it with Downloaded program files which is different.
You're right in a way NMI, the Download folder is not ticked in Disk Clean Up by default. By martyfelker is right too. Until 17763.1 Downloads didn't even appear in the list of things to clean up. Now it's all too easy to accidentally tick Downloads and loose a precious collection built up over years.

The answer is to have a custom downloads folder and not use the default one.

I won't get Build 17763.107, my IP Fast-Ring computers are already at Version 1809 Build 18252.1000.

Also the disk cleanup of Windows Update files is not completing. Do I have to take a snapshot of every minor build? No way to got back to .104. Good thing I don't care much since the Skip/Fast builds are performing fine. Who knows what other problems exist in this build. Hope somebody from MS who can actually do something about this sloppiness is following this thread.
Mine came up with the downloads folder not selected. It is your choice what to clean-up.

That is what I do (I have it off the system disk because I do not want to back it up). Or yu can just choose not to clean it up. Having it separate from the OS lets you reinstall the OS from backup, then reinstall your lost updates from the files in the download folder.

That would be great, but I'm afraid that they can release it literally whenever they want - "october" in the name is justified, release date is Oct 2 and very likely it won't reset. At least I think so..

People, didn't the April 2018 Update finally release in May?

Fact of the matter is they're stupid names anyway. 18H2 would be better than O2U.
