I agree with winactive. Windows folder size for a W10 Pro, 64-bit v1809 PC:

    Attachment 208473
Yet my Windows 10 Pro Upgrade to 1809 Windows folder is only 19.8GB.

Not being funny but if you have clients surely you would be expected to see the problem.
You didn't seem to notice that SoftwareDownloads was 9GB (when full ISO is only 3GB) nor that in both pictures you had a spare GB of LiveKernalReports. Nor that Installer was 19GB. Are they paying you for this?

Fair play to you if they are.

If your Windows directory is >20GB you really have got a problem and should open a separate thread about it
In today's world, why would a 50GBs "Windows" folder be a problem?

All of my systems and most of my clients have 250GBs to 1TBs SSD or PCIe x4 drives, while some of them have 1TBs HDD. The folder size of 25-50GBs range isn't really that much, when you compare to the size of drive. Most of the systems have 10-40% storage space utilization.

Letting Windows manage the folder, whichever way it does, has not been much of a problem. I recall one instance, on my own system, where these over sized folders had to be cleaned up to update the system. And yes, I do know how to clean them up.

And no, they don't pay me for this. There's no reason to bill them for something that Windows 10 can manage on its own....

You are aware there are low end PCs, laptops and netbooks with 32GB/64GB emmc drives that can't be changed out? 50GB installs would just fail on these type of machines.

And many of those users have issues trying to do the feature upgrade, not enough free space.

Explain, please, how gaming is a professional feature.

Gamers often need functionality not in W10 Home like deferring updates easily. Drivers that auto update, etc. makes a terrible mess, it's just easier to be able to flick switches.
I take it you don't game.
I started this aspect of the topic. I don't game anymore (did on my 1st PC back in 1978!), but there are two points here. Why should the least able (Home) to cope with new update problems, be forced to update, while the Pro users are allowed to delay updates. This is wrong.
    I wrote

    We need the following versions:-

    Home: for simple domestic use.
Home for Games: for the games enthusiasts.
    Pro: with only professional features
    Enterprise: for large companies etc.
The 'Home for Games' version, should have the option to delay updates. In fact game players need a much faster machine than many professional users.

Why should a business user have games on their PC. This reduces office efficiency and the need for tech support to remove them.

One BIG problem remains , and its getting worse with 1809 !
You can not change/ choose several settings anymore , some examples ; no Classic Context Menu , try to remove the "store" from your contextmenu , no luck !.......etc. etc.
We are no owner of our own device anymore , its mr.MS who rules more and more.............
    Very sad .....

Josey, that pic that was posted with the 50GB....it sure looks like it still has all the Installer files and a DISM cleanup has not been done on it. Look at the WinSxS, and that Installer folder. Just an observation. There could be more in there than the Tree Size run is showing. Down inside. Needs investigating.
