It must not be totally on hold, one of our church computers got Upgraded to Version 1809 Build 17763.1 then yesterday got updated to Build 17763.55, doesn't seem to be any issues yet. It is an older Gateway All-in-One from about 4 or 5 years ago and as with mine OneDrive is not used.
I'm only on Windows for gaming. Once Linux gets better support I'm gonna jump ship.
Wonder how many people here have Linux?

The Windows 10 October 2018 Update would only be on hold if you haven't already installed 17763.1.
If you did, then you would get the KB4464330 cumulative update for build 17763.55.

If you're in the Slow or Release Preview ring, then you would have gotten the KB4467228 update for build 17763.17 instead. This is to test it before re-releasing to the public.

I suspect the computer got the Upgrade over the weekend but I was out of town. It could have Upgraded a few days earlier. When I shut it down yesterday after doing the books it installed the update.
Better support for what? Linux is a very stable and reliable platform already.

The main problem its Dona,she post just her selfies on Twiter,doing nothing to pass an bug to Windows Departament if a user told her,when Gabe Aul was the head of Windows Insider,you actually can describe a bug on his twiter and he was helping you by passing that bug directly to Windows Enginers/Development.
But no,.dona is just an ignorant person,she even ban some people for being "off-topic" or whatever she thinks.

MS had a workshop day recently at Redmond for all employees. I believe that Executive Vice President Jason Zander basically said the corporation needs to go back to the basics instead of focusing on future visions of what consumers may like.
I don't believe anyone was listening. Hopefully, the roll out of 1809 will be a corporate wake up call.
