Seriously speaking, that switch should work. One thing however makes no sense to me, why do you want to kill the Firewall in the first place? If your computer is internet connected you'd be extremely vulnerable to attacks.
I am behind another firewall that covers my whole network, I don't need one on my computer.

Same here. And Focus Assist is off on my boxes. Also I notice I get the notification right after booting completes...not as bad as it was at first..

Same here. Firewall OFF notification cannot be defeated. We need a partisan...

I just did windows update and "2018-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4464330)" just showed up even though I got it installed. Anyone knows what up?

When you look at update history did the first one fail to install? Most of us see it entered twice in our update history because of this.

A bit late in the day now but I tried manually installing the service stack update (all good), and then followed that with KB4464330. That to installed without the error that everyone has been seeing.

Looks like @Caledon Ken was correct in his hunch.

I'm going to bet it is fails needing that Servicing Stack update, the Servicing stack update then succeeds and then CU gets installed.

    A guess.
One thing I notice is that having installed these two, I now can not pause updates. I have done a restart after each and still the same message. So why can I not pause updates ? I'm fully up to date now.
