I don't see any news about it being pulled. One would think the Thurrot or Windows Central would have blown in the whizzle by now. It would be too good story to not report about, think about it: They pull the update KB4464330 of the pulled update 1809.

    Paused not pulled. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...b6766c9?auth=1

I just did a clean install and kb4464330 appeared immediately, maybe it is not "paused" anymore or just paused for those HP machines only.

Yes, that's the only reference I've seen to that. Actually it's not even all HP machines. My HP Pavilion laptop doesn't have the problem.

Did you guys deliberately set guest to active or enable it in some way?
No. And I've now checked my other machines and restored a couple of my test machine's system images. Of the five (edit: make that six now) systems I've looked at (variously 36/64 bit, 1803/1809) only one didn't have an active Guest account. That was running 32-bit Pro 1803 build 17134.1.

Hmm... so I guess it's somewhat intended, not sure what triggered it so perhaps better not to disable it for now.

    It's a puzzle...

...checking for updates and updating that system to 17134.345 didn't enable the Guest account. Maybe an earlier CU did, but MS changed their mind and removed that from the latest CU?

I checked on my friends HP laptop - he is on 1809 with all updates, and he also doesn't have guest active (like me with 1803 - all updated). All 64 bit.

There's an article here that states enabled or not it does not work.

I haven't had problems ( that I'm aware of) on either of 2 pc's so far with any of the updates. I am at Windows Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.55. Guess I should just pretend all is ok?
