Well, here it is 10/13/18 and WU has been checking for updates every day. The last update received was KB4462919 on 10/10/18. No hint of KB4465477, nor KB4464330, as of 12/05 PM EST today. Wonder when v. 1809 will be offered. I'm fully backed up with two levels of backup, so I'll just wait until some "higher" power decides to update my system.

Ohio obviously is much more important to MS than UK - no sign here, but that's the norm with WU

OK,thanks. Not sure whether you were lucky or unlucky but if I had been in your position I'd have restored an 1803 image ASAP.
Why would one want to revert to 1803 if your computer is working fine with 1809?. One thing to understand is that not everybody was affected by the data loss or other glitches like BSOD or drivers problem. Both of my computers are working fine. My main computer is like on steroids. I have never seen it working so well like that before.

For the simple reason that the 1809 you've got is going to be replaced by something else.

There will probably be a CU or something like it that will bring it up to snuff. I don't foresee having to install an entire new build.

So whenever a new update comes out, be it a CU or a patch Tuesday, I will only have to apply it (install it) and that will in and of itself take care of any needed adjustment.

It's just about attitude to risk. I don't want unnecessary aggro from problems with feature updates so I have them deferred until the problems die down.
