Thanks Kado.
I tried a second time (same result of course based on what you say) and noticed the update screen started off as 'Downloading', then 'Pending Install', then at some point it changed to downloading again, then followed by 'Getting Things Ready' and finally installing again. At this point, and without restarting, I see that Update History already reported as Failed to Install.
I didn't look at the installed updates screen... I should have.
Thanks.
I wonder if my woes this morning are due to Tuesday update patch too?
Worked on brand new Inspiron 3470 yesterday Windows 10 Pro updated when I powered on and all was fine, today I powered on and the screen has a green tint all over and the display resolution had changed!
I have been able to restore the screen resolution but cannot get rid of the green tint on the screen!!!
I have restored to a previous restore point and uninstalled the Windows Updates installed yesterday but the screen still has a green tint!
Any help would be most appreciated.
Bleeping computer has more details and a work around although the are quoting a different KB number. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/new...ate-kb4462919/
Edit: It is not just HP computers and MS have paused the update. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...b6766c9?auth=1

Lol, I did mention that this version of Windows is not ready for release, didn't I. One bit change somewhere and you get all sorts of bizarre behavior.![]()
Gosh, there's a lot to read (and comprehend) between this thread and the one about 1809 being paused. If I'm getting this right, both 1809 and this CU have been pulled? MS needs to re-do the entire mess and probably release a revised Feature Update. I'm on 17763.55 and I'm lucky, my machine is working fine. Only issue is the wrong timestamp on Defender definitions.
