I do not understand logic behind releasing this build with the task manager cpu bug fixed (amongst others), but not the release version yesterday.
Sound like left hand / right hand issues!
It would be embarrassing if the issues could not be fixed by a cumulative update asap!
On a different tack (reading other sites), dark mode on File Explorer has probably created dialogue than anything.
So far, the "love it"s seemed to be outweighed by the "hate it"s with a fair chunk in the middle slagging it off as unfinished etc.
Another badly implemented feature is skip&sketch. It seems it is by default installing an earlier version ie one without delay actions and if you go to Store to update, it seems you are up to date.
Of course, one could try joining Insider, updating Store app, then leaving BEFORE you get upgraded to this build!
Looking good on my old Tosh this time. Hour and a half an 11% installing. No looping so far - fingers crossed
Spoke to soon - " we're getting things ready " again. Glad the Microsoft crew aren't surgeons.........

Well that's worrying. A VirtualBox utility found that the virtual disk was corrupt. It managed to correct it but who knows what will happen.
OK. I will try it out on a clean install of 1809 (in a VM). Install 1809 using an Microsoft Insider account name then join the Insider Program (you would probably be on it automatically). Or install using a local account and then join the program using an Insider enabled Microsoft Account. By the way and not going to complain about activation issues anymore because the worst thing that would happen is that you'd have the PITA of removing some devices from the account.
A soporific sleep inducing Update....70 minutes in total, 20 minutes more than the last few updates....expect this is due to more unwanted dross being foisted upon us.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
