Could it really be curtains for Windows? I imagine MS has contracts in place with many PC manufacturers... and doesn't it still need a platform for Office? How big a revenue hit would it be to pull the plug?

They haven't exactly kept us in the loop about what their findings are and what they plan to do.

I suspect they are re-organizing this team right now!

I feel confident that MS will get their act together with W10 but they have quite a bit of work to do as it is.
Stop the main feature updates and concentrate on quality assurance in order to perfect the product.

Most of all, open a *real* channel to your customers and listen to them!
They are the ones keeping the company afloat.

This forum would be a great start - hope MS is watching!

    Whatever.

Windows is actually a hungry virus, about to be used to hold much of the world to ransom. It swallows up time and energy as you try to work around it (er I mean with it), and requires lots of input via the Feedme Hub.

    Actually, no....
Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences:
Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So Windows is not a virus.

    It's a bug.
