unless you're an insider you won't get it till microsoft makes it rtm or releases a newer build as rtm. as for rolling back if you're not having the issues that made ms pull the release i'd personally stay on it. i'm running the 17763.55 and haven't run across any issue,
Hey, NoOne, did you take the regular update from WU and then choose to keep it? Then get the CU to .55? I'm curious to know if those of us on 1809.55 did the same.

I can't say how others got to where they are, but it's my understanding that so far, there are two versions of 1809 at this point. Mine and all those others.
Yes, there are two version, but it's simply that the (briefly) public release gets the public CU to 17763.55, while the Insiders are testing out .107. Come Patch Tuesday there will no doubt be another CU for the public release, to .107 (or higher). Come the re-launch (if/when it happens) those of us on the public release should get another CU to bring us up to the same build as the re-released 1809.

You can be self-deprecating, but not self depreciating as far as i know.

    Example:
No one would suggest President Trump was ever self-deprecatory.
Whooooooeeeeee, Dalchina, yer gittin' kinda close thar!

I did read something about self depreciating in my wanderings; ah, found an example:

    Self-depreciation
    Also found in: Thesaurus, Wikipedia.

    n.
Disparagement or undervaluation of oneself and one's abilities.

Jimbo, I'm also on 1809.55. I got here via the original Windows Update which I kept because I wan't affected by the file deleting issue. There was a CU that took me to 1809.55.

I am on release 17763.107 and one way to get it is to join the Insider Program in the slow or preview rings.

But, but, but, I'm an Insider too! I just opted to keep the WU Build of 1809; however, I never received anything from MS to indicate I could go any other route.

I am glad that you guys brought up this topic on the table. I had always had this question about registry cleaners: What one is supposed to do with all the leftovers and junks still lurking in the registry after uninstalling an app or anything else for that matter?. Is it preferable to do the cleanup oneself by going to the registry?
If you want to remove an app and everything connected to it, I'd suggest looking into Revo Uninstaller. It will go in and remove all the tentacles an app has inserted into your system. There's a free version, but it doesn't have the features the paid version has. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

There is got to be some good registry cleaners out there. Notwithstanding the fact that one can always do a registry backup or always have a system image backup if you back up everyday like I do, even before running the registry cleaner every time.
Not that I've heard of. I do a complete backup every Sunday and differential backups every other day of the week; however, I'm not going to trust my system to a registry cleaner that might prevent my backups from reinstalling. I'm a coward, yep!

I know that it has been said many times that it is not a good idea to run them, but I just want to know what is the solution to get around this. Want it or not, at some point if one does not do some housekeeping in the registry, it can get bloated and impact the performance of your machine.

    All suggestions are welcome!
I've suggested the best solution I know of above. Revo Uninstaller comes highly recommended by most of the gurus on TenForums.

I'm on the Fast Ring, Josey, and don't want to give that up, so I'll wait with the rest of "us". So, I guess that's that.

Well, seems you've somehow manage to switch from being an insider onto the public release. Insiders never got .55, they got a .17 at the time the public got .55, apparently with the same fixes in it. Then they got .107. If you are on .55 then you are running the public release now.
