Think only few of Insiders really require interaction. And critics aren't taken well.

There may be "millions" of Insiders, but there are probably less than 100 that generate the bulk of the feedback, and only a few of those who interact with MS on a daily basis.

So, folks here are not complaining about MS not interacting with "millions" of Insiders; instead, they are complaining about the handful of Insiders that seriously report incidents to MS and get little or no feedback in return.

Which begs the question -- what is the point of being a tester if your feedback is simply ignored?

A good point Andre but it just shows that the critic has hit a sore or embarassing point. I wonder who has the final say on which Insider builds actually get released to Insiders. Yes most of the Insider builds are pretty good but there have been some released which have show stopping bugs such as the system not shutting down but they have still been flighted. Who says "release it". I'm pretty sure it's not the devs.

That is correct Mark, many do it just to get the builds faster. MS should require feedback or dismiss the user from the program.

They think their telemetry data tells them everything they need to know.

Good point Andre. As mentioned by several forum members who have contacted MS; as reported MS have stated that they "dislike this active forum" If they read the comments and complaints on here they may glean more information than the few insiders that they communicate with. MS have no listening skills and until they do NOTHING will change.

Well, first thing: we don't know how that interaction really went on. Some of us can be very heavy, especially after our play system went south, and MS doesn't have instant solution..

Or our wishes are simply on other route than MS's plan.

I think, MS should employ some real people to follow Insider's feedback, and forums. Maybe they have them, but their role isn't valued?

And second: think I can understand radio silence... anything you say could be and will be.... you know how it goes. MS is facing some heavy consequences for deleting users data. There will be folks who'll want to make money out of it, be sure

The issue is not that the fixes takes long to arrive. The issue is the silence, skipping release preview and ignoring or missing some important feedback.

The most important thing is communication in two directions. Insiders to MS and MS back to insiders and the rest of the world.

Can't agree with that Josey. There are zillion of different kind of users. Some want to play, some are workers, some are bored, some are doing real research …

Be sure that MS is getting feedback, if user is reporting, or not. But they need both.

And we need all of rings. Fast, slow, RP and skippy when it's time for it. But agree, that one new release per year would be enough. Not, that we wouldn't want to, but process is too risky, too many bugs get unnoticed.
