Meaning the re-release of 1809 should be pretty soon since the Insider Preview fast is the last phase before the official release of any FU.

    And to confirm:

Fraid not. Fast Ring at the moment is an entirely different build, however the Release Preview probably now has all the necessary updates.

Just wanted to elaborate a little bit more on @Brink's link for those who are impatient for the re-release of 1809.

Yes i'll have to watch myself on that as I'm currently on the slow Ring, think I'll switch back to Release Preview before a skippy build gets thrown at me. Quite possible as Microsoft has just released an ISO for the latest Fast Ring build.

    Strictly, IMO -

After what 1809 did to one of my systems, it would be best to go slow and steady.

It all depends on how you see it. At least, we have a good indication, it will be within the next two weeks (if not less) based on past builds which had made it to the insider Release Preview.
And I am quoting an excerpt from that same article:

"The “Release Preview” ring is the final step that occurs before Microsoft releases the update to everyone, so that means it’s almost done. Unless any other show-stopping bugs are found, the October 2018 Update is on the cusp of final release"
    .
