Coding is not construction type work. MS has been at it for over 4 years. If Win 10 does not make it now it never will.

It is outdated... I haven't seen it crash yet tho'... any particular aspect that's wanting?

Win 7 updates are nothing to write home about, they are even slower than W10.

I haven't had them crash TBH... It's just they did a huge CU... unless I am mistaken.

Try updating really stale W7 !!! A while ago I tried on computer to update it from just after SP1, 3 days later HDD finally gave up and died.

No no crashes but it takes over an hour to do the Patch Tuesday updates on my old lappy even with the MRT hidden.

There is a technique to get it done a lot faster There is a rollup and a couple of KBs you need to get it to a state where you can do it in a couple of hours via WU. I do it quite regularly in a VM.

Resorted to download clean, untouched (hopefully) most recent W7 from you know where, fixed that one. There's also some Russian update roll-up that supposedly works better. W10, just download a latest build.... done, no matter which build you start from.
