Maybe I missed it but I think it is sorta strange how there is not much or really anything in terms of articles on CNN or Fox News about the 1809 situation. Here we have probably the biggest Windows/Microsoft update disaster of all time and certainly of Windows 10 and not a peep. They usually have articles on feature updates when they come out when nothing goes wrong or where there is a relatively minor problem. Sure there is a lot of news stuff going on but still.

Worst update of all time is a bit over dramatic, this isn't newsworthy.

Hopefully there is a pending class action Lawsuit from folks that lost important, irreplaceable data; family, pics...I know the value of regular backup images, but they are not and should not be mandatory.
MS are "Teflon" coated. A class action lawsuit is about the only procedure that will wake them up.

Sorry but backups are in a sense mandatory. HDD's die every day not to mention all the malware out there.

Would be interesting to see if they could get a class action together.

Only "pain " in the MS-wallet will bring us a solid and reliable OS...............

Totally agree. Not that I don't feel the pain for those folks who have lost their data files, but backups in this day and age are "overmandatory" (kinda a neologism on my part).

I certainly agree, how many times have backups been mentioned on this forum alone. Some folks are not listening.
Basically what I said is, if there ever is a lawsuit MS can't say in their defense is " Your honor, users should be backing up data"

Windows 2000 was not as pretty as 7 but it was stable.

Windows 7 is outdated, technically inferior and stale. I hate using it. It is bs it is more stable - I go into different companies and crashes are frequent.

Even Windows 8.1 was much better once you added your own start menu.

You can't build without a solid foundation, In my books, Windows 10 does not have a sound foundation.

I am on 17763.104 and it is very stable, performs better than .55 and Yes Windows 10 is far superior than 7.
