An alternative..... Wait to make sure the New and Improved 1809 is not digesting users machines, use MCT to create an ISO, use the ISO (mounted) to run an In-Place Repair. You won't lose a thing. Maybe some settings to tweak. It'll tidy-up the OS if anything is amiss, whether you have noticed it or not. Run time <30 minutes.
Very, very good idea. I didn't think of that. I will be trying it out whenever they (MS) decide to re-release (unpause) 1809.

I don't know why it's taking so long as the fix is already in the fast ring.
I just joined The Preview Ring to get 17763.104. It is better than .55 was. I reallt do not know what is the problem. I plan to stay on this release till net fall if I can.

got 3 Systems on 1809 here, one clean installed with Media Creation tool ISO, and other 2 from Windows Update (seeker) manual check for updates, No issues experienced.. Trying to wait to see if they release cumulative for 1809 or whats gonna happen, kinda pain to revert back to 1803 Now, and reconfigure everything.

Don't understand why the warning don't install if already downloaded the iso though, i mean install went fine, no issues or anything.

at least with 1803 we knew a new build was coming a few days after 17133 was no longer RTM, 1809 it's so much silence, no darn clue whats going on or what the plan is, and sorta getting annoying, heck there still releasing fast ring builds for 19H1, and not a darn comment on status of 1809
The warning was likely issued as some people download the iso, then run setup to do an inplace upgrade. If you had your files partially moved as described in the bug then it would delete files. MS was just covering their a$$.

I still think MR is the best backup software, but yes it does fail. In the past month, I have had 2 VSS failures and then one Code 9 error. The VSS errors were somewhat easy to fix, but the Code 9 error I found out that Macrium had a patch just for that particular error. I am guessing that if it does not affect you, you don't have to do the patch??

I have never had any errors prior to these last 3
Fortunately, I was not affected by this error: Code 9 and as far as I remember, I haven't got a patch or update from MR for more than approximately 3-4 weeks (not really sure..). Just yesterday, I did a system restore on my second machine and it went very smooth.

Might as well change the name...

to the November 2018 update, according to How-To Geek:

And, the article is dated yesterday, so this seems pretty legit.

Cerebus You bring back pleasant memories of more than 60 years ago. I remember Guy Fawkes, huge bonfires, and the neighborhood mum's would make Treacle Toffee and a hot mug of Black Peas.
And who doesn't remember when MS made a decent OS. Going forward there's always Windows 7. I wish!

Windows 2000 was not as pretty as 7 but it was stable.
