From reading this thread, one CU isn't going to get the job done.

Personally I'd be quite content if it never came out - 1803 is rock solid on three systems here and for the first time in a while I can just get on with everything without constant problems. It's not as if 1809 is going to make any material or even noticeable difference to our lives.
So is 1809 on my 2 machines, unless you are facing some of the glitches or snafu some other users are having like data deletion, BSOD, audio drivers on some HP PCs. I don't have any of those and my main machine is an HP Envy. As a matter of fact, I find my machines running faster (better performance). I don't know if it is because of the compactOS, which for me is compacted after running the command line:

    compact /compactos:query

I really like the new feeling which is smooth and fluid to my taste.

Why do you think that we didn't have any Patch Tuesday before yesterday?. Correct me if I am wrong, you cannot have a regular patch on a version that is paused because of bugs. Those have to be fixed first and the fix undoubtedly will come in the form of a CU.

    Thanks.
Thanks to you too. I didn't know about the link for KB4464455 from Brink's Tenforums' news. Anyhow Brink is always ahead of all of us.

I know why patch Tuesdays exist, and yes MS is trying to fix their flawed feature upgrade, good for them. But you posted a link to an article that stated "Microsoft is getting closer to Re-Releasing 1809". Yes they are But - My statement was it may not be possible with just one CU. There are many problems with 1809, because you don't have any, doesn't mean many other users are GTGO. It may take longer than you believe.

Don't get me wrong, you have a valid point. If I have to rephrase myself, I think MS is being very careful. They cannot afford another gaffe in the sense of a faux pas when re-releasing or unpausing 1809.

There is always only one active cumulative update, it supersedes all previous versions. The current one to insiders being .104 which supersedes .55 which supersedes .17.
