I don't tend to have problems either. One reason is likely because I never use a Microsoft supplied driver unless nothing that works is available for download from the manufacturer. I don't even trust MS to pass on the manufacturer's driver since I'm not convinced they haven't tampered with it.
With the exception of my soundcard, i've only used the MS supplied Drivers. The only times i've had to do otherwise is when my Hardware is newer than the OS i'm using. Then i would have to go with Manufacturer software.

Up to 1809 Windows 10 has been a good experience overall, forced updates notwithstanding. Unfortunately 1809, at least the update, has bugs i don't want to deal with right now. It might be different on a clean install but i'm not in the mood for all that work right now. Especially when i have 1803 tweaked to perfection and purring like a kitten.

    I'll say!

    Check out this.
LAN drivers for the ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero, notice the dates and drivers highlighted.

    Attachment 208379
I see they're happy to update the hero X but not the VIII hero alpha.

You call reverting back a driver to where it was 13 months ago, updating?

Agreed. Let MS and WU do it's worst. Upgrade or replace / hide IF there are issues. Vanilla.

No, I guess I expected an old motherboard to still be updated.

I have no problem using the cloud. All that's on it is copies of my pictures, which I have on 3 external drives. Don't care who looks at them or copies them. Being on the cloud makes them available to my cell phone. That's the only reason for having them on the cloud.

I did a clean install with an ISO of 17763.55 it runs pretty well. Have not installed a single driver and it's like butter.

That's pretty old news (5 days ago) at this point.
