I lost nothing. I want to clean install and got the 1809 MCT before it was pulled but unsure whether to wait until an updated MCT is released. If your clean installing these no files to lose right? I'm not sure why articles don't recommend to install with the MCT..

I did a clean install in one of my VMs and it updated to 17763.55 last Tuesday with no issues. That patch supplies the fix for future upgrades.

With CLEAN install you have no files to loose anyway. If you mean later on, new patch should fix that too.

Would there be any reason to wait for a new MCT or not really?

Once this mess get sorted out and officially released, might be a good idea to download it again and keep for eventual repairs etc.

Maybe not immediately but they have 6 month to keep on updating and MCT usually downloads latest updated version.

True, they may want to release an ISO from 17763.55.

So if I clean install with the 1809 MCT and receive all 1809 patches/cumulative updates thereafter I should be fine right?
