I'm not sure how smooth my 1809 upgrade has been, some things seem a bit off. Waiting for a new 1809 MCT and will clean install.

Me too, Faith! Since I had updated to 1809 and everything seemed to work, I left well enough alone. When I got home this evening, I found a cumultive update! Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! So, what about those folks who still have 1803? What do they get?

I still haven't gotten the 1809 update via WU, but over the past week or so I have gotten many hundreds of successful system reconfigurations according to the Reliability Monitor. Is that a normal behavior?

Seems like we have a problem here M$. Any acknowledgemenet from Redmond. I felt that my wife machine just had a one off problem. Boy was I wrong. Anyway she's on the Slow Ring and just got a forced upgrade to 17758.
Since "RTM" (I wonder if this defective version is on many machines -- millions?) was the build after this I suppose she will get a forced upgrade when this problem is resolved. Then she leaves the Insider Program. I don't need the headache (and certainly she does not). But thanks for "free" Windows M$. I may yet convince her to move to Linux (he choice but I recommend Ubuntu 18.04 LTS for stabiliy - course I am using 18.10 in a VM dual booting with Fedora 30 Rawhide - but now on kernel 4.19.0-0.rc7). She has a Windows XP VM where she happily runs an early version of Wordperfect).

I have a clean install of Windows 10 1809, but I am experiencing issues not relating to file deletion.

I have issues when playing games, the system will randomly just display an error message with a DirectX warning that my Graphics Card has been removed from the system, which just seems to happen at random times.

There are also sound issues as well since the update, where certain sounds come through crackly, which is also related to 1809.

The fact nothing has been heard from Microsoft in relation to 1809, makes me think there are some bigger problems with the OS than just the deletion of files, as surely they would of patched it by now and released a new image.

Thanks for the info and the link mate. After reading it I waited another couple of hours. Sure enough after 25 hours Windows Update automatically checked for and installed another batch of Windows Updates. So everything is fine
