    Makes sense - the cumulative update thing about profiles seemed to be where a security policy had been set?
    And I can't see many people doing that (certainly not W10 Home users) so it wouldn't seem to fit the pattern of the file deletion thing.

    I guess the CU is just patching stuff for people who are on 1809 and don't want to or can't roll back to 1803 - no reason for them to be vulnerable to other issues.

    Missing and presumed lost! I just checked for updates and got an 1803 CU, WMSRT and a Flashplayer update. But no 1809 in sight.
    @larc919

    According to bleeping Computer MS has not fixed the issue with files being deleted. I can only assume that until this is fixed, tested and tested again no one will see a Feature update in their Windows Update stream. MCT is still offering 1803.

    My desktop that already had the disastrous 1809 version has updated to new version of 1809 and my laptop that already had 1803 is now downloading a new version of 1803 which seems to be taking a very long time to download. What a waste of time.

    An hour and a half later and I am "up-to-date" and 1803 has gone from 17134.320 to 17134.345. They must still be holding 1809 back from those who did not force it through, for some reason.

    @Boulder

    They have not fixed the problem of deleting files. Until this is fixed, no 1809 for the masses.

    Look again at the article you quoted:

    The same thing happened with this other article by Neowin:

    Microsoft releases Windows 10 builds 17763.55, 17134.345 - here's what's new

    In that article it was said that this CU had not solved that problem and now this appears:

    So the missing files issue was the policy thingy? Or was that something else? There seems to be a lot of conflicting messages floating around about this being fixed or not.

    Only MS knows and they haven't said anything.

    Well if they haven't fixed the deleting of files no way is it going to be available. That would be insane or I guess we could say more insane.
    Insane, more insane, most insane, it’s hard to decide. Maybe MS Insane.

    Even if it is fixed they are going to test and retest and retest.

    Interesting, but not surprising that info is changing. From original article I posted... still have page up.

    To bad MS was more transparent. If they said here is where we are and we don't know and we will update you on..... that would be good enough I think for most.

    Apart from the dark theme I can wait.

    Silence from MS generally means no confirmed success yet.
