After upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10 (17763.1), I am finding the following bugs for which I don't have a solution yet:
-After opening Edge, I cannot use any of the buttons at the top right corner of the window, be it the minimize (-) , the maximize or the close (X) buttons to do anything. They just don't respond. In order to circumvent the problem, I always have to right-click the title bar and execute those functions. This is not the ideal way to do things.

-In file explorer, when I left-click on a folder or a sub-folder in the navigation pane, the whole explorer window just closes by itself. The solution I found to bypass this difficulty is to right-click the folder or sub-folder and open it in a new window. One cannot definitely work this way when it comes to folders, sub-folders and documents.

-Lastly, I have noticed for a long time now that whenever there is an upgrade, all my external HDDs attached to my computer are appearing twice in the navigation pane. For this one, I have found the solution in the registry.
I have found the culprit of all my problems in my post #511 (above). All along, my gut feelings were telling me it could be a compatibility issue since no one in this forum has mentioned these kinds of problems I was facing. And I was right on target. The problem was caused by a little app by Stardock called WindowBlinds. After uninstalling it, all the bugs vanished away and I was back to normal.

I think that can help anyone facing the same issues and who uses this same little app.

If people aren't backing up their systems, sorry to say this, but they're idiots.

Are you using WindowBlinds? I am and as soon as I turn it off Edge works like it should.
You are 100% right. I had not even read your post yet, and I found out that Windowblinds from Stardock was the culprit—Take a look at my post #674. In any case, thanks a lot for your post.

Certainly not to argue but is it they are idiots or they have never be trained or shown how. I think a lot fall in the latter but for sure there are some idiots out there that just believe it will never happen to me.

I think that statement is a tad unfair. I believe that most users don't give a hoot about Windows, same as Apple users don't give a hoot about iOS, and just want it to work. Just like using a car - if it starts and works then ok - if it doesn't it goes to the garage. Not all of us are geeks or mechanics.

The 'Brightness' issue is the only real anomaly I've encountered. Just now and I noticed it was showing back at 50% in action centre and settings however the screen did not look over bright (my preferred setting is 36%). Opening Settings and moving the cursor downward from 50% actually brightened the screen considerably... so it was still actually running 36% but reporting 50%. That I think will get sorted in a CU at some point.

Other than that and my first impression remains in that for me at least, this is one of the best releases to date and has caused the least problems.

1803 when released would not allow the legacy .net2 framework to be applied in 'Programs and Features' which was a fairly catastrophic failure for applications that rely on it. 1803 just never seemed quite right somehow, both in deployment and day to day use.

So does 1809 allow .NET2 framework now? Thanks.

I upgraded three office machines on Tuesday without any problems. I keep all the data on a second drive (I always have) and still have 17763 on the systems. I also do not use OneDrive on these machines.
