    Do we know if it even affects WU? Seems to me like the reports are coming from people who upgraded with MCT or something.

    If Bree says it's the update process, maybe doing it through WU doesn't affect it? I dunno.

    I downloaded the Windows upgrade Assistant and it downloaded and installed the update with no problems So i dont know why the update had so much trouble in the 1st place.

    You sure @Bree?
    There seems to be so much wrong with this one that for the sake of confidence would you not agree with my #583?
    Personally I found the 1803 initial release was the worst one by far, being rushed out on the last day of April in order to justify its 'April 2018' name. There was too much 'Insider' code left in it, IMHO it wasn't really ready for release until 17134.112.

    Of the four machines I've updated, for only one have I felt the need to restore its 1803 Macrium image - and that was down to an obscure bug in the Hyper-V network switch that caused problems for the host machine when writing to (but not reading from) network shares on other physical machines. Oddly enough, it had no problem with shares on VMs.

    For the other three machines this initial release seems to have less bugs than most previous ones, so I'm staying on 1809.

    I had and reported problems with the x86 install way back that are still there. Nothing to do with loss of data though. It was just ignored.

    Hi there
    @Brink

    Just kidding but shouldn't the title of this thread now be Oct 2018 edition currently suspended !!!!! or something similar.

    Cheers
