I still have this weird problem that I always had (started with clean 1803 install) that I cannot for the life of me get this button to stay ON. It always reverts to OFF.Attachment 206890

Has anyone noticed that it doesn’t show that annoying “Shutting Down” message anymore, when the PC is told to turn off?

In 1803 it is possible to make your highlited item in cotextmenus ( by hovering mouse) lightblue.
This is possible when ; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\FlightedFeatures
In the right pane of 'FlightedFeatures', create a New?DWORD (32-bit) Value,
    name it ImmersiveContextMenu,
give it a data value of 0 and click OK.
Close the Registry Editor, restart Explorer or Logoff and back on or Restart.

This suddenly does not work anymore in 1809 ! All is grey......
Searching for a new solution...........( some help/support would be awsome)

Anyone notice the bug in battery settings for display brightness (moved to settings > display, needs to adjust while in battery and dc modes) and display dim options (missing altogether, no way to adjust).
I noticed auto dim is missing. I didn’t notice it ever working on my system anyway.

This is the first update that I am not really happy about. My DVD player will not play DVDs only audio CDs...
Which DVD player? I have VLC and the Microsoft DVD Player, both still play DVDs in 1809.

No problem here at all. Windows 10 1809 worked great out of the box and continues to work trouble free. Of course I had to manually install one Intel driver, but that was a minor inconvenience.

This is the first update that I am not really happy about. My DVD player will not play DVDs only audio CDs, and If I open with the Edge browser and try to go to Yahoo it doesn't load all of the Yahooo page. If I ask it to go to Yahoo finance it just sits there. If I try using Chrome I can go to any page without any problem.

Tried SFC scan all ok also tried DISM no problem reported.
Edge is broken, something to do with enabling IPv6

DVD playback is fine, another shout for VLC 3.0.4

    Obviously try a clean install?

The dism method works when most other fails, particularly if you inject the various drivers for old device into install.wim

@cereberus - just an update as I've not had much time to play lately. A clean install was last option as I have Office 2010 installed and don't know if it still can be verified/activated over the phone. So I did a repair upgrade and landed on the Desktop within 2 hours. Twice as fast as WU if it worked Didn't even need to use Macrium's image. All's well with this junk machine..... until next time. Thanks.
