This is the first update that I am not really happy about. My DVD player will not play DVDs only audio CDs, and If I open with the Edge browser and try to go to Yahoo it doesn't load all of the Yahooo page. If I ask it to go to Yahoo finance it just sits there. If I try using Chrome I can go to any page without any problem.

Tried SFC scan all ok also tried DISM no problem reported.

I still have this weird problem that I always had (started with clean 1803 install) that I cannot for the life of me get this button to stay ON. It always reverts to OFF.Windows 10 October 2018 Update rollout now paused-button.jpg

Had the same exact thing on my Toshiba P855 laptop. Downloaded the Update Assistant, ran it, it installed and then I did WU check and it appeared to install it again! But all is well and working...right now.

REALLY I DONT LIKE THIS! IF OCCURS MORE PROBLEM I HAVE FORMAT MY PC AGAIN AND GO BACK TO BUILD 1803

My nVIDIA setting on REGISTRY (keys from installation) IS GONE later update to 1809!

All keys is missing! I has my nVidia driver updated with version 411.63, and, today I was uninstall it to install new updated 416.16 and when I was in "Add/Remove application" (Win+X shotcut) the nVidia is gone.... none reference to it!

But the driver is installed and working!

    Another bug observed:

Using "Win+X" the menu options now doesn't work with option like:
    • Windows PowerShell (Admin) / Command Prompt (Admin)
    • Windows PowerShell / Command Prompt
    • Computer Management / or Manager (in English)

DOENST RESPONSE TO CLICK MOUSE OR ENTER, ANYMORE!

Anyone notice the bug in battery settings for display brightness (moved to settings > display, needs to adjust while in battery and dc modes) and display dim options (missing altogether, no way to adjust).

Well after 3 tries at installing the update it still will not install it gets to 96% installing and thats it it doesnt get any further. Checked Windows Updates and it has this error: 0xc19001e1 which i gather is a driver problem. It would be nice if it told me which driver instead of the nonsensical code.

So i go to Toshibas driver page and all it says for my Toshiba Qosmio F750 are drivers for Win 8.1 I check both my Intel and Nvidia display drivers and both are up to date. The only 3rd party software is Malwarebytes which i disabled for the update. and now when i check for updates i'm told i am up to date. (1803).

So has the update been withdrawn...?
    Thanks.

Chasing down through this article @jeepers

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/win...dy_UpgradeTips

    Your error code

You will notice in article there is a job SetupDiag which is supposed to shed some light. It also mentions other logs which can help.

Disabling Malwarebytes means drivers are still present, suggest remove.

I would recommend you use MCT tool to create USB Thumbdrive, ends the need for multiple downloads, and then you could follow this tutorial. Note BIOS change.

Same here (my first version of W10 was 1607). If it wasn't because eventually we have to reinstall this version when pushed by MS Update, I would go back to 1803, and wait a few months before reinstalling 1809 at my own pace or would completely skip it.
