Interesting. I seem to be having the same problem with MS Sticky Notes. I have 4 computers - 1 Win 10 Pro & 3 Win 10 Home. All 4 were upgraded to 1809 yesterday. One of my Win 10 Home machines actually got the update to Sticky Notes version 3 before the upgrade, and I expected the other 3 to receive the new Sticky Notes after upgrading to 1809, but nada.... I have tried manually checking for app updates in the Store, and have received updates for other apps, but nothing for Sticky Notes. Since Sticky Notes do not have an option to uninstall, I tried resetting the app in settings, but all that did was re-download the same out-of-date version 2.1.18.0 version.

I'm not sure if I have the latest Snip & Sketch... My version 10.1806.2112.0. Is that the latest?

Anyone else still stuck on old Sticky Notes?
Same Deal Here. One Computer Upgraded Sticky Notes before Installing 1809. The other computers updated to Version 1809 & still on old Sticky Notes.

Same thing here - one computer updated with version 3.0 - which was announced in advance of the release of 1809. None of the others received the update --- I use sticky notes all the time. The two machines with Skip Ahead - of course - have the version 3.0

I updated to 1809 via Windows Update and System Restore was off after the final reboot. I had to enabled it and then I created the first restore point.

The new snipping tool erase function doesn't seem to work. Other than that it's not bad. I still prefer Greenshot.

I have reverted to 17134.320, the screen started flickering intermittently, I'll try the update assistant tomorrow and see whether it fixes the problem

Yeah I had a quick look at Snip & Sketch but it seems quite cut down. I prefer the old Snipping Tool, which still works (for now).

The rolled out version is quite old. The version Insiders have has more or less everything in snipping tool.

One nice feature is the ability to edit picture with paint without faffing around loading paint, copying and oasting image etc.

The main feature missing is ability to save clip in different formats, but you can do it via paint.

You can have multiple sessions as well.

Now I have used it, it has rather grown on me.

One good change is the ability to delay for 10 seconds. Sometimes the old snipping tool 5 seconds was just not quite enough when delving in several menu levels.

Main change I would like to see is get rid of that intrusive start screen which blocks half the screen.

After updating to 1809 on both PC's using MCT, I got a bunch of those Event ID 1534 - User Profile Service Warnings and a few reboots didn't resolve the issue. Before I did the following, I checked my Insider Preview (1809-17763.1) at the following two registry locations and the TDL key didn't exist. I also searched the registry for B31118B2-1F49-48E5-B6F5-BC21CAEC56FB and didn't find it.

I'm NOT recommending this ... Do at our own risk ... it's just what I did to get rid of the User Profile Service Warning !!!

    1. Open Regedit and navigate to the following two keys
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileNotification\
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileNotification
    2. Under ProfileNotification check if you have the TDL key
    3. Export the TDL key at each location
    4. Delete the TDL key at each location
    5. Reboot PC to verify

    Note:
    1. I did NOT delete B31118B2-1F49-48E5-B6F5-BC21CAEC56FB key that I found in a couple places in the registry under CLSIDS, etc.
    2. You'll need PowerRun or ExecTi so you can run Regedit as TrustedInstaller to be able to delete the TDL key, so be careful !!!
PowerRun v1.3 (Run with highest privileges)
    ExecTI
no need for those applications, the location permits ownership takeovers and adding accounts.

you need to search {B31118B2-1F49-48E5-B6F5-BC21CAEC56FB}, without the parenthesis the search result will not find them. bit corresponds to several classid's for the tiledata model service.
Doesn't matter if you use the {} or not, but yes I did search with/without the {} and it does find it on both my PC's in approx 5 places in the CLSIDS and those two registry locations in my post. If you're not finding it, especially at the 2 registry locations in my post (TDL Key), then I bet you're not seeing the Event ID 1534 - User Profile Service Warning.

The TileData Model Service has been removed in 1809 and it would appear not everything got cleaned up in the registry ... at least on my PC's ... lol

no need for those applications, the location permits ownership takeovers and adding accounts.
Yep, but using one of those two programs ... you don't have to do the ole two step permission shuffle in the registry and I should have been more clear that you can either use one those programs or change permissions in the registry :)

IMHO this is by far the best version yet. I really like the dark Windows Explorer look or theme.
