I was trying to get the 17134.320 cumulative update by forcing Windows Update to look for updates, instead it looks like it's forcing me into the 1809 feature update. Now it's downloaded and pending restart looks like I have no choice.
40 minutes start to finish for me via Windows Update.
I gave up on downloading the ISO via MCT. After two hours it was at 55%. I'll start it again in a few minutes and let it run overnight.
Interesting that people are reporting quick upgrades. I have three std 1809 comps, with spinners, that were up to date and hooked up to fibre. One took 2h 25m, another, 1h 50m and the netbook will be about 3h, at least.
I have also watched how much work was being done and have no idea how it could all be done in the times reported.
REAL puzzle.
Thank you @Cliff S. Tutorial below updated.

Walked in the front door at the Microsoft download site, and downloaded the ISO directly. Ran setup and updated within 20 mins.
I updated from MCT, no issue that I have seen so far. OpenShell is working well, 8 Gadget pack had to update, Office 2013 Pro had to update. Norton and Malwarebytes seem to be ok, Teamviewer working well and my Workgroup Network is all working just fine. I have installed the latest Nvidia driver. Chrome is functioning normally IE 11 Normal.
2019-10-04 I have the same issue on both notebook and desktop with the Event Viewer 1534 seems to have slowed down this morning. my desktop The same thing seems to have slowed down this morning with only about 10 instances?
