AH saved by the bell. Thanks TenForums. I downloaded MCT earlier this week, but haven't had time to install it anywhere. Planned on doing it this weekend to at least 1 system. Decided to check TenForums this morning and I find this -

I believe I will hold off for a while .

#WindowsInsiders If you've run into the "missing files after update" issue for 1809/October 2018 Fall update, please call our support line. They have the tools to get you back to a good state. This build is no longer available to download manually:

OK, but do I need to be afraid? I have upgraded my gamingrig, and cleaninstalled my laptop with 1809. Both up and running without any file missing. But is there more to be afraid of?

Umm, now where does that leave us, I wonder?

I updated to 1809 3 days ago, using the Windows Update Assistant.

However, I moved all my User Library Folders to a different physical drive.
Therefore, I didn't lose any data, as was described/reported.

Also, I haven't experienced any unusual CPU usage and things seem stable.
I have backups of the previous 1803 build and can, if need be, do a system image restoration.

Dona is in the eye of the storm right now, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

This deleted document issue is just another reason to store your data on another drive. I learned a long time ago never to store your data on your boot drive and this is just more proof of concept for me.

I have MR images going back to 15061 and 14393 if I need them as well as 1803.
