Is the October 2018 upgrade (version 1809) available anywhere yet in the UK?
This link is still showing me "Windows 10 April 2018 Update now available".
The MCT link is still just giving me the old version 1803 - "MediaCreationTool1803.exe".

It has been pulled because of a loss of data issue reported by some users.

Any info on how the people who are already on 1809 will be helped?
More than likely a CU will be released.

    Hi there

I have one machine on 1809 -- Not any problem with it for normal use -- I kept the ISO I made via UUPDUMP.

I notice on that site now the latest non insider stuff is the 17134 1803 build. I think this is the same you'll get with the MCT. Or at least with the MCT and run windows updates after installing.

One thing though I couldn't get working on the 1809 release by any manner whatsoever was any way to make a Windows to Go . (Tried WintoGoUSB ,RUFUS, AOMEI, Partition copy, fix boot problems via Macrium etc).

OK that's strictly not an Ms problem on Non enterprise windows - but it's a nice feature to have - especially if you want different language options for windows and office and you can't install on say a work PC.

    Cheers

There are entries about it in the feedback hub going back some time.

    Hi there.

Insiders usually can fix a lot of stuff -- however when it gets released to "the Great Unwashed" --- that's when all mayhem breaks loose.

My reading on these Forums seems to imply that while some people had difficulty installing, once however you got the wretched release actually installed then problems weren't mega - at least for about 95% of the posts I read,

    Cheers
