Does this mean 1809 needs to be installed again through WU when the final-finally version comes out? I got mine a day after it became available on WU and I haven't seen any files missing. I hope I don't get left out in the dust bcause of this...

Likely will be a patch for it and early adopters.

If it were me, and if I had a Macrium (or similar) image of the machine BEFORE the update, I'd restore the image and wait for the "finally-final" version to be pushed to me.

You and me both......I have 1809 installed on no less than 10 machines!

The 'missing files' problem appears to be a bug in the update process rather than Windows itself. If you got through the update without problems then you should just need the normal cumulative updates rather than a complete reinstall when MS fix this.

    You sure @Bree?
There seems to be so much wrong with this one that for the sake of confidence would you not agree with my #583?
Unless of course you have updated multiple machines and therefore would have to spend many hours on it!

I guess it affects only a few people? I have IPv6 fully disabled and everything works, Edge, Store, Weather.

I really hope this is just a cumulative update for us who've already installed 1809. After 1803 I swore I would never install insider previews again. Here I am, updating to an officially released version which gets retracted a few days later. Ugh.
