Have not had this problem for quite a while. System restart, Clean up system files does not remove it and manual delete gets this message. Properties states 0 Files, 7 Folders.

Yes, had this problem on one of my computers- others, no problem—love consistency, don’t you?

Unlocker does remove it but the installation is full of, err pups, so not worth installing, although I have it installed. Have a look at Delete Windows.old Folder in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

After upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10 (17763.1), I am finding the following bugs for which I don't have a solution yet:
-After opening Edge, I cannot use any of the buttons at the top right corner of the window, be it the minimize (-) , the maximize or the close (X) buttons to do anything. They just don't respond. In order to circumvent the problem, I always have to right-click the title bar and execute those functions. This is not the ideal way to do things.
Are you using WindowBlinds? I am and as soon as I turn it off Edge works like it should.

Tried the update tool, tried windows update, I get no upgrade update at all, update tools says I am using the latest build which is 1803 which is not the latest.

    Any suggestions?

This command (from tutorials) doesn't work?

    Code:
    RD /S /Q "C:\Windows.old"

Download the .iso file from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 .

This worked for me. Second option.

It did, thank you. Also contained the ~WS folder and that one I deleted manually.
