I've heard a few people speculate that the recent stability issues with Windows 10 is the result of the Windows NT kernel not being adequately maintained. And the reason it's not being adequately maintained is because Microsoft has programmers focused on creating a version of Windows based on a modified version of the Linux kernel.
There is no way to know if this is true or not, but given IBM's recent purchase of Red Hat, I expect that Microsoft will soon purchase Canonical.
I have only recieved one definition update for defender today at that was at 9:30AM EST ~. I am now considering this build a security risk.
