Well, that's what I thought Clintlgm meant, but you know what they say about 'assuming' things. ("Never assume anything...") You're right, though--it is kinda hard to have an 'October' update when October is over.
Sorry to be the devil's advocate. It's going to keep the same name Windows 10 October 2018 Update (Version: 1809), but re-released without the bugs, or should I say after the bugs have been fixed.

I've heard a few people speculate that the recent stability issues with Windows 10 is the result of the Windows NT kernel not being adequately maintained. And the reason it's not being adequately maintained is because Microsoft has programmers focused on creating a version of Windows based on a modified version of the Linux kernel.

There is no way to know if this is true or not, but given IBM's recent purchase of Red Hat, I expect that Microsoft will soon purchase Canonical.

I would not be very much surprised if that's the case - I find Windows 10 simply unstable, as opposed to rock-solid previous version (within the reason, that is!).

    Agreed.

A drunken bet in my local pub just after New Years party 10 months ago, I bet a bottle of 25 year Laphroaig that MS will buy or will announce intention to buy Canonical before 31st of December, 2019. Now sober (almost!), I still think I will win that bet.

Thanks TC, I reported this to The Hub, I doubt that any of The BOTS will look at it.
