No no crashes but it takes over an hour to do the Patch Tuesday updates on my old lappy even with the MRT hidden.

A Win7 SP2 would have been cool ( BTW Did you know (bubble-gum wrapper time...) that Win 7 and Win 7 SP1 were different SKU's?

It is outdated... I haven't seen it crash yet tho'... any particular aspect that's wanting?

Hmmm... and what might that be... the superior updates? release cadence? UWP?

Nope! it's RAM intensive - even from one Win 10 versions to the next - just an impression as I do not benchmark stuff.

Windows 8.1 was the fastest and stablest OS I've ever used. Rip roaringly fast on startup and shutdown, FF was up and running in under 2 seconds page fully loaded after a cold start. Much faster than 10 in these respects. I used it with classic shell. No longer use Classic shell for a few years now since using Win 10 since I got used to creating my own start menu with the non live tiles which I actually like and is a plus for me with Win 10 since I like as few apps running as possible. Hated Windows 8 when it first came out.. just an insane OS. But with updates and CS I got used it and it was pretty good and smokin'.

Disliked Windows 10 from the start, no control of updates.. not a good looking OS imo, an OS meant to be used on all kinds of devices including the all important mobile phones which M completely and utterly botched leaving me with my now unused 640. Now, with the update problems aside, I'm used to Windows 10 and it's okay.... better than Windows 7 imo which a friend has which just seems so slow ... but slower than 8.1 with less control of things and changes, changes.... Happy with 1803 at the moment... very fast now and no big problems, will probably stay there.
My main machine, now relegated to secondary, was not anywhere as fast but W8/8.1 run just fine on it backed up by W7 and Mint. When W10 showed up it looked like just an extension to W8.1, something MS meant to be but released too early. I had W8 since alpha stage but only with 8.1 became fully usable. W8/8.1 is loosing driver support and can't be fully good any more on newer HW. Heck, even W7 has better driver support.

I only can judge it how it runs on my system and it runs better than 7 did and better than most Win 10 Builds. The one I liked the best was 15063.

They sort of did an unofficial SP2 rollup. No I didn't know it was a different SKU. Is that significant?

Yup, a standard Win 7 key could not activate a Win 7 SP1 image...

You can't build without a solid foundation, In my books, Windows 10 does not have a sound foundation.
    Now you realize it?

Actually, it started with Windows 8, the precursor.
Windows 8 and 10 is written in "Spaghetti Code."
