Interesting idea, but the environmental officers would have a field day. Many years ago we could have a bonfire with a figure in my father's old clothes, and masks could be readily bought at small local shops. (I can just remember 'penny for the guy' as some young kids had a guy on the street).

Then they banned bonfires (atmospheric pollution- clean air act...).

You might get away with images of Satya Nadella...

Some folks in my building in Toronto made a BBQ in barrel cut in half which got really high flames. Fire brigade which was just around the corner arrived within minutes, put fire out and left without a word.

Lucky you I don't see the platform update though.

Every few minutes the version on the downloads page changes. Its going round in circles.
I noticed the gap in your history and that got me wondering...

If I let Defender update on a slightly older disk image then it is error free. I tried this twice in my experiments with other stuff yesterday. Very odd but there we are. Restore a recent image and I get the platform update failure and following definition failure.

Also, and this is purely non scientific and subjective but I find the restored and error free set up has been running for 45 minutes now (2 or 3 tabs open plus me doing other stuff as well) and hasn't had the fan come on at all. This is one of the things that impressed me from the beginning with 1809, for me it was all just so right. Something seemed to happen in the last few days with me experimenting and changing stuff, and even though I kept restoring back it never felt quite as good. But now it does

    No errors or failures.

I don't know why it's taking so long as the fix is already in the fast ring.

    Yipes!

MS is going too fast, IMO - now a new build of 1803:

"Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 10 version 1803, the April release that most users will remain on until Microsoft recommences the rollout of version 1809, the October 2018 Update. The new release, update KB44629330, moves version 1803 up to build 17134.376, and brings 43 bug fixes aimed at improving quality. As expected, there aren't any new OS features."

Why this was not built into 1809 or released ahead of 1809 is beyond me.

got 3 Systems on 1809 here, one clean installed with Media Creation tool ISO, and other 2 from Windows Update (seeker) manual check for updates, No issues experienced.. Trying to wait to see if they release cumulative for 1809 or whats gonna happen, kinda pain to revert back to 1803 Now, and reconfigure everything.

Don't understand why the warning don't install if already downloaded the iso though, i mean install went fine, no issues or anything.

at least with 1803 we knew a new build was coming a few days after 17133 was no longer RTM, 1809 it's so much silence, no darn clue whats going on or what the plan is, and sorta getting annoying, heck there still releasing fast ring builds for 19H1, and not a darn comment on status of 1809
