    I hate these Focus Assist Automatic rules. If I set to automatically shut up notifications for games, it also shuts up if I fire up Edge. Edge is not a game.
    That's debatable.......

    Thanks. I wasn't clear on my question. The 1809....when did you upgrade to it and how? It was released on 10/02 and pulled on 10/05. Did you upgrade between 10/02-10/05 before it was pulled, or some time after, and if so, with what? That's what I was asking. Just trying to get your time-frame clear in my mind.
    Hi, i upgraded today (2018-10-20) from 17134.345 to 17763.104 by joining the insider Release Preview program. The delayed autostart of Security Center was then restored which I after a few test restarts changed back to normal autostart to get rid of error event 10016.

    I need a list, where I can select what is recognized as a game and what is not. I can do this on my mobile, so I should be able to do the same on a far more superior and less limited device. Just because an application can use OpenGL or DirectX does not automatically mean it is a game.

    All these annoying and half baked features, makes absolutely no sense to me.

    Oh, ok! Now I understand. I really thought you meant you had taken your main OS 1803>1809 by some fashion. Yes, I have a Release Preview running, also. I'm sure you are aware..... Release Preview, like all Insider builds, has extra telemetry in it that cannot be manipulated or turned off. And other normal features that are unavailable as Insider. There are some MS imposed restrictions on any Insider build.

    Hi there
    @Fredrik

    I think current version is

    Attachment 209208

    so you are probably an update or two behind.

    The classes WscBrokerManager, WscCloudBackupProvider and WscDataProtection depend on service SecurityCenter. They all three try to start early while SecurityCenter is delayed 120 secs. That is why you get a timeout error after exactly 120 secs (give or take a few seconds of grace period).
    Thank you @Fredrik - now I understand.
    The confusion arose because the Event 10016 to which I was referring (and to which the link I posted refers) are of this sort:

    Source: Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOM
    Event ID: 10016
    Description: The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}
    and APPID
    {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}
    to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    THOSE are the ones that the link says do not matter - I and many other people get those seemingly at random on 1803...I do NOT get the ones you're discussing even through Security Centre delays on startup. So there are 10016 Events and there are 10016 Events!

    O yes I am aware of that but it's OK - I have nothing to hide. Microsoft are welcome to read all my data on this particular computer. That's good I think and is the purpose with preview releases. I had some time over this weekend for testing 1809 and didn't want to wait until Tuesday or whenever it's released for the public next time.

    Hi there
    @slicendice

    Thanks

    just grabbing latest from UUPDUMP as I "unjoined" the insider stuff after the kerfuffle of some previous releases -- went back to 1709 and started again --1803--1809.

    Cheers
