Windows 10 October 2018 Update rollout now paused

Not for me? The default is C:\users\ (my user folder) regardless of whether I use a local or Microsoft account. The first five characters of my e-mail address are kerry so mine always ends up being kerry.
Your user folder may have a weird name if you log in with a Microsoft Account but as far as I know the path is the same.
This is correct. A MS account has no different a file store location than a local account, provided;
a) you upgrade the local account to a MS account
b) you make the MS account logon a local account
if you add a MS account to the local account they are separate accounts and have separate user profiles (libraries, etc.)
If you sign in to One Drive (which is with a MS account) you get the secondary location
c\users\%username%\one drive\documents
whereas your default is c:\users\%username%\documents
The complication is you can sign into One Drive without a MS account being the primary logon. My understanding is that One Drive is part of the effective 'roaming profile' for any Windows device you use with a MS account (the whole point of a MS account; save the obvious increased "data slurping")
Thing is, most Windows users have an irrational conception that somehow Microsoft is evil and not to be worked with (unlike Google or Apple, when it seems to me people 'buy-in' to the concept; initially zero-cost with the former and predominantly on the pay basis with the latter (after all, the products seem to attract the more well-heeled consumer)).
So, therefore, people insist on using the Microsoft tools or services in a much more fragmented fashion that they would with the other two eco-systems. Something like this has been blown out of all proportion where the developers have proven they neither care for nor relate to the user base as they generally and continually (with and without good reason) hear only the same unchanging message from it.

Hi, brave 1809'ers. In a thread I've just resolved, it seems in moving Ease of Access to Settings that this dialogue is no longer available:

and in particular the bottom setting.
I don't have 1809, so wonder if you could confirm- the OP couldn't find it, so I had to resort to using Winaero's tweaker which has an option for the same thing.
Thanks!

The first two are still available, although the push button option for size and colour are presented differently. One row is size, the next row is colour. In your screen shot you pick size and colour. They also added a split colour option, not sure if split colour helps anyone. I have the Dark theme running.
I can't find the last... Activate a window by hovering
I should add that Control your mouse with a keypad has been moved. You access down the left hand side under the major heading "Interaction", sub heading mouse.

Thanks- the OP found the option active by default, which also seemed to mean it was impossible to use context menus, as that problem was corrected by clearing that setting - activation by hovering. Perhaps that's why MS removed it?

So are the new updates available yet. I can't wait any longer

That's odd, I have the 'hover' setting in 1809 Home through the Control Panel. This machine was upgraded from 1803...

Alex, you don't need to do that, in fact not recommended. You won't get anything. Defender, security, nothing. Instead, use the tool that is already there. Defer the Feature Update for as long as you wish, up to 365 days. When it is re-released, and people are not blowing up installing it, you can go back and set it to "0" and move on.

Okay thanks pal so enable back updates then change the box in pic to 365 days then turn to 0 when new updates come out
