Sheesh, I don't know what's going on in other places, but we seem to be locked up tighter'n a drum here in Central Arkansas. No banks, and no major businesses open.
Smaller towns most likely close on any holiday.

Huh cheques no it's called checks. What a weird stupid spelling.
Anyway it might be a holiday here but I just received a package from the USPS and some banks are open too.
Careful, Reddice! You're getting into the swamp . . .

I believe the UK was out there first, and perfected (to their standards) the English Language. We Americans came along later from all over the place, and finally perfected the English Language to our standards by creating all kinds of shortcuts to save time.

The only way there would be a weird stupid spelling is if I spelled check as cheque in the US or if they spelled checque as check in the UK.

All my spell checkers mark cheque with a red error. Some even change it to quench.Windows 10 October 2018 Update rollout now paused-2018-10-08_164131.jpg

Since the fast ring is already serving 19H1, does that mean that the "fix" for the 1809 issues will come down as a CU? Since they cannot really make a new build and put it on fast ring ...

    This might be a misintepretation.

I'm just afraid MS will leave the people who are on 1809 already to their own devices, or just issue a general "ah well, if you're on 1809 already, you'll have to clean install!".

I don't have time for this sh*t. The *one* time I wait with upgrading until it was officially released, and here I am again.

Why can't they just push a new build out on fast ring?
    Fast Ring is no longer RS4. It's RS5, 18252. Can't push a new RS4 to RS5.

Can't be a CU or the like, because it would require downloading and installing the release that eats the files, then patching it after the horses are out of the barn Somebody else posted that earlier. Has to be a new Feature Update like 17763.15.

According to my Wikipedia article indigenous peoples day is celebrated in most states/municipalities in the US, with 3 states not celebrating it. So we’re with you, @Wynona. Everything here is closed as Los Angeles county celebrates the day.
