There are more than just lost file issues. I didn't lose any files but my upgrade was crippled with performance issues. Had to roll back to 1803 to get a usable system again. And next to no Internet on the one system I did a clean install on. WIFI just stops connecting. My network is listed, won't connect. Reboot and its fine, for a little while. Then it just randomly drops the connection again. Same exact hardware that was fine running 1803.

Same here on both of these machines. My fear is MS will "fix" it. I haven't seen anyone commenting on this being the second update/upgrade released and subsequently being suspended. That's not a good sign and inspires little confidence.

At least with the 1803 release they caught it before general availability.

Usually I see little to no diference in performance. This PC is old by todays standards.
AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz,
    NVIDIA nForce 630a / GeForce 7025 chip-set,
    8GB 4GB X 2 Kingston PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory.
Crucial MX100 256 GB SSD and 1 TB WD Blue SATA

It was painful to use after upgrading. Lagging badly even in file explorer. Web pages took forever to load, and slow to refresh. File transfers were noticeable slower to removable media like thumb drives. Outlook more often than not would not launch, had to reboot to get it to work. Same deal with control panel and settings, just blank pages. Even task manager was glitching. Did a roll back and all is normal again.

EDIT: I would have started over with a clean install, my preferred method, if not for this thread and the recall.

Desktop feels better/snappier here too, but that might just well be placebo. In-game benchmarks show roughly the same or better performance.

I did a clean install with zero issues. Performance after installing 1809 much better.
