I just noticed a number of people who were not being offered the update in this thread list Win 10 Pro in their "My Computer" specs.
This update contains no new security fixes...
... “B” release ... published the second Tuesday of each month. These updates ... are the only regular releases that include new security fixes.

...The “C” and “D” releases occur the third and fourth weeks of the month, respectively. These preview releases contain only non-security updates...

It has been observed that only the "B" release on Patch Tuesday gets picked up by windows update's automatic check. The "C" and "D" releases should be picked up by a manual check though.

This update, KB4340917, and another one a couple of weeks back, only showed up after I did a manual check for updates on Windows Update. WU doesn't show it following an automatic check.

It has also been seen that in Pro the 'Defer Features Updates' settings seem to interfere with checking for a 'Quality Update' such as these C/D ones. So if you don't see the update in Pro and have deferred Features Updates try temporarily setting it to zero days.

Have you deferred Feature Updates? I and others don't get this update unless we set defer feature updates to 0 days.

    after multiple tries.
And I'm not downloading the MSU either.
The last time I did it, they pulled the update.

Not available on WU for me on 9/21 11am CDT. That's very unusual, I usually get updates right away. Manually updated, and all is well. That was a honking big update, no doubt there will be another smaller one on Patch Tuesday.

Some have found that setting a number of days, then going back to zero was necessary before these non-security updates would be seen.
