And nothing anywhere official from MS itself. Woody may be correct, but, again, it's opinion from the author. An official document from MS would be nice in lieu of second-hand chat info. I have it installed, and it will remain until I discover otherwise from MS directly or a Forum Thread/Post quoting MS directly.
Yep, it wasn't even from Woody - it was posted by an anonymous commenter.

Some information from MS would be very nice indeed.

Interesting development here: Topic: Help us unravel the Win10 updating Gordian knot @ AskWoody

I ended up manually installing it from the catalogue but am now thinking that may not have been a good idea. I'm not sure whether to keep it or uninstall it...
Interesting; I had to install it manually from the Catalog as well; but unless I see it causing problems or being pulled from the catalog, I'll just keep it installed and wait for the next one.

I still have a machine on .286, it still does not find .319 in windows update.

It's only 4.15AM in Redmond, I wouldn't expect anything to change until their working day begins in about 5 hours, at the earliest. I'll check again after that.
well if MS does not offer kb4458469 on Tues. morning 10am Pacific Time on Sept. 25 thru windows update (WU)and windows server update services (WSUS), don't worry about it.

a newer update could be offered later this week that will replace it. otherwise, download KB4458469 manually from MS Update Catalog (I have a fast cable internet connection from Spectrum close to 50Mbps)

No security updates, so unless Win 10 is broken for you, don't install it.

This is some low-grade mince we are being fed.

    Not a question.

MS software output is not very good.

I installed a new SSD in my laptop and put a fresh Windows 10 Pro on it. It only updated to .286 and would go no further. So I downloaded the manual update and ran it and got a message that my computer doesn't qualify for it. I suppose because it's an old Toshiba P305-S8842. Probably a processor (Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5750) thing I would guess.

If you install the update you will end up with .319.
