Both my Test PCs were on Winver 1803 (OS Build 17134.285) (Win 10 Pro)

Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted on one of the PCs)
Feature update delay 0 days
Quality update delay 0 days

MANUAL check for updates CU KB4464218 and routine updates offered - downloaded and installed - restart requested
Restarted - Winver 1803 (OS Build 17134.286)
MANUAL check for updates, "You're up to date"
As of 08:54 22/09/2018 (BST)

So to confirm the various posts above, KB KB4458469 is presently NOT being offered. Whether there's a good reason for that (ie MS finding problems in it) I have no idea but there's nothing in it that tempts me to go looking for it to manually download, ESPECIALLY as it MIGHT be suspect at this time.

I think that MS-cya is pretty common when installing stuff from them. It's not aimed at this particular KB, it's a general "OK, last chance! We're gonna do this now!". Has no bearing on this goofy update.

My meaning was, the MS message about continuing with the update has no tie to the content of the KB, or the apparent mysterious disappearance of it from WU. That message would have appeared in any case when downloading and applying an MSU from the catalog. It's not like they are saying they hid it from WU, but you found it in the catalog anyway, so applier beware. It's just their standard messaging, nothing else.

Still nothing
All I get every time I check is an update to Defender




And as I said before: I refuse to go get the MSU file

I sympathize (or sympathise). Man-Flu is real, the fairer gender just thinks we're trying to get out of doing chores......

Tried again, and just another Defender update.

maybe Defender is blocking the KB.......
