maybe Defender is blocking the KB.......
    I really doubt that.
But I did run my "After version upgrades" batch file, and a Chkdsk /r(to cleanup up any unused index entries from index), and that didn't help, plus I dusted my pc out so had to drain all power totally, didn't change any thing(the power cycle not the dusting).

And as I said it's on all my PC's not just my main one, that it's not showing up.

Started experiencing these today entirely out of the blue - since I was updated last Thu evening...

KB4458469 downloaded on my laptop and my All-in-One on 9/20/2018 automatically from WU. Have seen no problems with either one. Should I leave them or remove the update?
I have KB4458469 installed on two of my machines, both installed by checking for updates on 20th. I have had no apparent problems. Reliability history shows no problems either. I'm leaving it installed.

True, but that was Thursday evening he got it. It became a no-show yesterday, Friday. Totally AWOL.

Of my 5 machines, none has gotten the update. I was also wondering if it had been pulled or not being allowed to install on certain types of systems.

We will see if they sign off on the RTM on the 25th as the rumors seem to suggest.

That link is very old and ancient history by now. Several monthly updates have since been released.
True, but equally: I've not experienced this problem before until today, after this patch was installed. And nothing else has changed on my PC either?
EDIT: Although link is rather dated, some rather recent users reported the same issue in this thread month ago or so.

As I said: I will keep an eye on this.
