I don't get exactly what this message means. Is it saying that Microsoft will also offer the October Update to the public through the Media Creation Tool or not?
Fact - Windows 10 1809 will be received via normal automatic uup upgrade service and via the media creation tool.

As before, we can expect a phased rollout of the automatic upgrades taking into identified hardware incompatibilities.

WOZR is just jumping on bandwagon, and actually tells us nothing we do not already know. WOZR has got things wrong in the past.

Thanks for the heads up. So it's not sure yet that it will be released on the 2nd of October?

There would be an official announcement which would be posted by @Brink on here if it were released.

Can't understand all this posting about a WZor possible leak
Not sure, but I don't think we're supposed to discuss "he who must not be named or quoted" here. And especially if it should concern a leak.

Nope. Although we have a number of MS MVPs here, the rules are the same for all of us.

I was having trouble with some drivers and decided to try and tidy them up. I exported the 3rd party drivers and there was well over 50 mostly incomprehensible without looking at .inf files in detail and took up around 3GB!

I found a great tool rapr.exe on github and it sorted drives by type and within a few minutes I identified drivers no longer needed (old printers, mobile phones, hard drive long gone) and lots of duplicates.

You can easily delete them but it will not let you delete ones in use or ones it thinks are in use.

I checked in device manager for each driver on each component, and compared with rapr info.

I slimmed my driver database to around 30 drivers, and eliminating duplicates reduced storage to around 1GB!

Obviously be careful and use our good old friend Macrium Reflect and keep a copy of all drivers first.

This is a truly great tool but perhaps not for beginners but it does err on safe side so it takes effort to really screw things up. I even used Forced Delete on some it said may still be in use but I was sure they were not.

Great tool - funny thing it has been around for years and not that well known.

@cereberus thanks for info. Rapt.exe sounds safe and useful. Think I’ll try it.
