Have I missed a change in power settings?

My laptop always started quickly with fast start enabled, but was slower shutting down, which I attributed to the hibernation file being written to drive. However with fast start disabled, it was other way round. This all made sense.

Since I upgraded to 1809 I cannot even find fast start in any menus. All I can do is enable hibernation or not using powercg command.

I found with hibernation disabled, it took ages to shut down (a minute or so), but with it enabled it only takes abut 15 seconds. I do not understand this.

Equally, with it enabled - pc starts more quickly as I half expected.

It seems to me that now hibernation and fast start are now the same thing whereas before they were treated separately ie you could have hibernation on but fast start off. Of course if hibernation was off, so was fast start.

I guess this simplifies things - does it only apply to laptops with hybrid sleep?

I kind of wonder if this was a change due to fact separate fast start was not reliable ie sometimes turning it off sorted weird boot issues?

Tomorrow is last Tuesday of the month.
On the other hand, there might be no releases this week.

Microsoft Ignite 2018 started today in Orlando, Florida. According to tweets from those of Insider team who have not blocked me (yet), they are all this week a long way from home, attending Ignite.

You have to enable hibernation first, to see other options (and close and reopen Control panel). I just did:

Come on, they are just the PR. They have no say in anything.

Can anybody confirm if the feedback section in the feedback hub is working - I want to see some of my old feedback and I get an error it cannot connect but all other feedback tabs are working.

I also noticed that disk cleanup does not yave the downloads folder in disk cleanup but skippy does. Was this only ever a skippy issue?

Have to go back and look, Doogie, But I think that's proposed for 19H1. I have a hard time with that name....sounds like some kind of CDC classified virus.
