also received the update on one of three machines and it installed without issue. Will look at the other two systems in a few minutes. No change in WINVER.

Edit: second and third office systems also updated without issue.

FCOL, is there a way to stop all windows updates? I am totally confused just like millions of other users, I have no complaints with what I already have , even if there is a potential problem I am content with. a MS tech support went through with me to alter the registry to make SURE no updates is performed with my consent PERIOD.. but nooooo ! ever since, I still getting interrupted with these vile toxic updates, one of them while I was plugging a USB drive... the drive went zombie.. . at first i thought I got a dead hard drive on my hand.. then when I attempted to reboot, I got slapped on the head with a warning the WINDOWS update was performed ... while I was using the darn thing and without any prior notification as it used to do. I am utterly disturbed with these crippleware disguised as Windows 10 updates. Please folks , any help is appreciated.

If you run W10 Pro you can defer updates.

If you run W10 Home you can set 'Active Hours' where your machine will not restart with an update.

That's it. Any more is just not wanting updates, I don't know a device that doesn't (except an unsupported device) unless you fancy running Windows Vista or just wait a good year and Windows 7 will suit you down to the ground.

There'll just be the upgrade / unsupported nags.

Your first mistake was allowing a MS technician access to your PC. Take ownership and deal with the upgrades with a methodical approach.

Is there such a thing Build 17334? what is it what difference than Build 17134.285 ???
The official 1803 build is 17134.xxx

Insider builds (beta) may have incremental numbering, for example the current 1809 build is 17758.1

The current 19H1 build is different again but it's almost alpha code, very experimental.

Get donotspy10 latest and enable them all except Defender. You will have to get the monthly* patch from the catalog and never touch WU after.

*If you are not using* Defender; don't waste your time, disable Windows update in Services.
